Rite of Election and Call to Continuing Conversion
On Saturday 25th February at 12.30 pm, in St George’s Cathedral, the Archdiocese of Southwark, three catechumens and five Candidates of our parish, accompanied by Fr Anthony were present at the annual Rite of Election and Call to Continuing Conversion. The service was celebrated by Archbishop Wilson and facilitated by the Agency for Evangelisation and Catechesis.
Those who were to receive the Sacraments of Initiation into the Catholic Church this Easter were called by Name and their names were entered into the Book of Elect. Those already baptised who are to be received into Full communion with the Catholic Church wer Called by Name and Chosen.
This service marked a decisive step in the faith journey of our elects who have been preparing for a number of months for the Sacraments of Initiation, that is Baptism, Holy Communion and Confirmation which will be ministered at the Easter Vigil service.
Please pray that they will be filled with grace as they prepare to venture forth on their spiritual path to a life in Christ.
